There could be a forum update coming some day. One of the features that might be discontinued is the Arcade.
If the forum upgrade 10 years ago was akin to UO Renaissance, then this could be considered the Age of Shadows expansion. It will be a semi-dramatic update.
The arcade just does not see much use. I might record the high scores and note them somewhere.
By the way, removing signatures and custom avatars was in preparation for this future update.

As far as the forum gold, it hasn't ever been used for anything. That is probably going away in the short term after the update and will be re-enabled once there is a use for it.
I think the best action would be to just reset everyone's gold amount to zero at that point. Then I can give you a starting amount based on the number of posts you made, perhaps with a registered date modifier.

The number of people visiting the forum has increase has over doubled in the past week since I implemented a few changes.

I did it! The HOT Management Software has been updated to work with the new forum version.
Now the only big hurdle left is to work on the new styling.
