Kerala’s real estate has seen some sudden investmnets of late. This is the result of increased investor interest. Who are these investors? And Why are they so interested in Kerala? Kerala investors are both native residents as well as NRIs. However of late there has been a growth in the foreign remittances occuring in the state’s real estate sector by the NRIs. NRIs are increasingly investing in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. Most of the investors are interested in buying apartments in Kochi, flats in Kochi as well asVillas in Kochi. Kochi being located in the center of Kerala, is well connected to all the cities through rail and road. Moreover, it has a good connectivity to other states and countries through air and sea. It has been known since ages as the commercial capital of India due to its affinity to traders from across the world. The reason for the growth of kochi as a city can also be attributed to the emergence of an IT center. This gave the city its share of well earning professionals who could afford good housing options, which led to the emergence of stylish houses and world class builders jumping into fray.Buying a house in Kochi is considered to be a great investment deal as the property prices keep on plummeting. The infrastructural development has also added to Kochi’s appeal. Soon the city will be considered at par with all the leading metros of the country. That time is not so far away.
